Completed Tomb Raider Anniversary. It was quite fun on Wii. Took me so long to finish it because I hardly went on it due to loads of other games I prioritised and forgetting all about it due to university work last year. Now like ten months on I thought it was time to finally getting around to completing it. It's a great remake of the original but maybe a little too easy. Some levels I enjoyed more than the first and vice versa. Anyone else agree? The controls worked well and I love using the Wiimote to shoot. Like to go back and unlock all the costumes. Since I got it done, I went on Underworld which I got at Christmas. Only been on it previously at the beginning of January for about twenty minutes but haven't touched it since. What happened? It's starting to look like Angel of Darkness 2. Buggy and temperamental. I hate her new look. It's ugly. Blah!
The first level is Spoiler start Lara's home burning down. WTF? Lara's home is one of the best things about the TR series. Is this some crappy hook to get the fans playing again? Spoiler end Not a good start to what looked like a promising game from an early review I saw in ONM. Been a Lara fan since 1998-99, roughly the time I got my PS1. I'm going to keep playing Underworld because as I just said I've been playing Tomb Raider for several years. The story has obviously reset since Crystal Dynamics has taken over, so forget all of Core's games. It goes like this: Legend -> Anniversary -> Underworld. Currently Underworld is my least favourite of CD's games with Anniversary being my favourite. You still use the Wiimote to shoot in Underworld but all the controls have all moved around. If you are thinking of buying a TR game, try out Anniversary on Wii if possible. Miss out Legend and Underworld, you aren;t missing anything that exciting. The PS1 TR's (I-III particularly) are the best and are recommended. Sorry for the sudden TR rant. It had to be said. You know what, I'm going to play TRII or TRIII just for fun later.
Haven't been buying much Japanese music lately since everything is so expensive. This past week I've been catching up. I've bought BoA's Best&USA (2CD+DVD), Kuu's It's all love (CD+DVD), Tommy heavenly6's Gothic Melting Ice Cream's Darkness "Nightmare" (Blu-spec CD+DVD), Soshi's Baby Baby (repackage album) and Into the new world (single). Like to buy Kuu's Out Works & Collaboration Best sometime. Also ordered Ayu's Next Level (CD+DVD) from CD Japan this time, as I had a coupon and it was like £5 cheaper than YesAsia. I will use CD Japan more often if YesAsia continues to charge stupid amounts for CD's in the future. Exchange rates isn't an excuse. They should simply stop trading in US dollars. It's an Asian site.
BoA's American debut album seems to be doing well on Amazon (US) and iTunes. Still waiting for a UK release. I've heard Eat You Up and a bit of I Did It For Love and Look Who's Talking. I'm waiting for the album to listen to the tracks fully. I hope it does get a physical release in UK because not everyone uses iTunes and to my knowledge it is only available on there. Like to have a CD simply for the booklet and artwork.
